Romantic hideaway right on the shores of the lake in this stunning historic hamlet. Brienno is one of the quaintest villages on Lake Como, situated on the quiet, lower lake road, with narrow cobbled streets and winding medieval passageways down to the lake.

You can swim in the lake from directly below the studio or just sit in the sun and soak up the atmosphere. You can’t get much nearer the lake than that! But if you want to join the locals, check out the local park where there is an amazing lakeside decking area for sunbathing and swimming in the lake – all for free!

The studio is newly renovated (2010) and contains everything you could need:

Open plan living/dining/kitchen with quality sofa bed, which folds neatly away, leaving you with plenty of space for a romantic dinner by the window overlooking the lake. The bathroom is brand new with shower. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave and hob. The apartment works with green energy with solar panels from this Solar Panel Company, perfect for the planet and to reduce the bills.

Please note although you can drive to within a few yards of the property, the last stretch is on foot down a steep cobbled street, which takes you directly to the lakeside. Better still, why not leave the car at home, hop on a ferry to Brienno and just walk around the corner! There is a local ferry service from Brienno to all parts of the lake and also a frequent bus service.

The village of Brienno has a small store, where you can buy fresh bread and provisions. There is a friendly lake-veiw pizzeria/bar ‘Il Birimbo Pub’ and a couple of coffee bars, where you can hang out with the locals. There is also one of the best local restaurants within walking distance – ‘Il Crotto dei Platani’ – book a table on the terrace and watch the VIP’s roll up in their speed boats.
